Greetings Friends,
Some of the most important things we carry are the things we never meant to pick up.
As Jesus was led to the cross, Roman soldiers pulled an ordinary passerby named Simon of Cyrene from the crowd and forced him to carry a burden he had not expected or chosen. Mark tells us very little about Simon, but he does name his sons, suggesting this unexpected moment became a story his family carried long after that day.
Join us this Sunday as we consider how the burdens we never choose can change the way we see and how God meets us along roads we never planned to walk.
